Temple of Heaven park (Beijing and world cultural heritage)
The Temple of Heaven park, was built in 1420, China's largest (2.7 million square meters) is the altar of the temple. Located in the southeast of the Palace Museum, and prayed for good harvests every year where Ming and Qing emperors. Was designated a World Heritage Site in 1998.
I went to the four-day tour of Beijing cheap Yomiuri travel recruited. I came round five World Heritage Sites of "Ming Tombs" and "Great Wall" and "Summer Palace" and "Palace Museum" and "Temple of Heaven Park".(June, 2010)

Heaven, the Emperor, is built as a place to pray to heaven enshrined. 18 Eiraku four years of the Ming (1406 - 1420) was built. At first "universe altar" is called, was enshrined in heaven and earth together. In (1530), the land of another "Ditan" to build a now separate the worship of heaven and earth. In 1918, Temple was opened to the public as a park. Is a symbol of China has become the symbol of Beijing. |
Temple of Heaven park (prayer hall)
Memorial prayer hall north of the gate is well into the blue sky shines round three-tier roof tile lapis lazuli, a beautiful building. This is a circular stone altar stands on a three-stage. Without using nails, the book is supported by 28 pillars.

Cow statue in the memorial hall

It was in the container of the altar, and was a very mysterious spectacle. It was dark, did not see well, and there seemed to be three also in the interior.
Decorative pillar in the prayer hall
Within the central four pillars are not well known dragon pillars represent the four seasons the four seasons. Red twelve pillars around 12 months, 12 out of the pillars represent the 12 time. Is not ridge pole or beam used.
There is a circular stone in the center, there is a natural dragon crest. The walls and pillars were decorated beautifully.
Memorial Gate Square
Memorial Hall between the gate and the memorial has become a spacious stone-paved square. As with the Palace Museum, there is no green. What does this because of security.
The citizens who have fun with dance and karaoke in Temple of Heaven park
The Temple of Heaven park was used as citizens' plazas. Because the retiring people gathered, I seemed to enjoy doing t'ai chi chuan, and doing cards and go as the person of the acquaintanceship.
There was a happy camper the person who wrapped in gay clothes and was dancing the folk dance and karaoke, too. Cheerful continental one side was able to be seen still unlike the Japanese when this was seen.
Moreover, there was a person who was doing the exhibition sales making my good handicraft, too. It seemed to rely on the traveler from the foreign country and to do business.
